cindygrogan14 I was at a Labor Day barbecue yesterday, and met up with an old semi-acquaintance. It had been years since we’d seen each other, and during our catch up, my work as a psychic came up. Apparently, she didn’t know this about me. Well, the look on her face was one I see a lot: a mixture of curiosity and fear. She shared that she’d never had a reading, was nervous about the prospect, afraid of hearing “something bad.” I get this stuff all the time.
So I offered to give her a quick reading, as a way to show her what was what. She’d already had a glass of wine, and was game. We found a quiet spot on the patio, I tuned in to her and off we went. The end result was, that she now understands that a reading can be empowering and interesting. It was a real breakthrough moment – her face was glowing with the possibilities now in front of her.
This experience made me feel that it was worth going over a few points about readings for those who’ve been a bit gun-shy. Because they do not have to be scary—in fact, a reading shouldn’t be. Read on…
- Psychics cannot predict death. I am not going to tell you when, where or how you will meet your maker. That is not for me or anyone else to know or see. If a reader tries to sell you on that, get out.
- On that same note, psychics can neither place nor remove curses. This is classic mind-screwing. Curses (which I don’t believe in) are simply a way to get in your head and make you surrender your own power. You think you’re “cursed,” so you start making janky choices (big and small) and the negative consequences pile up. See? The curse must’ve been the cause of [FILL IN THE BLANK]. And sadly, we’ve all heard about those fakes who promise to “remove a curse” in exchange for lots and lots and LOTS of dollars. They are utter money-grubbing frauds (and will get theirs in the end, promise. Karma is a big, sparkly, Disco Bitch). Please don’t surrender your common sense and personal power to anyone with a slick way with words.
- As to “seeing anything bad,” most psychics I know (myself included) view tough times or situations as a lesson from the Universe. If we can get under the hood of that thing via psychic info, a look at past lives, etc., you can gain some valuable insights into how to better navigate the problem. You do NOT have to stay stuck. To me, that’s the point of psychic insight: to help the client find additional ways to improve their life. It’s not the only way and it should be combined with practical action -but this “out of the box” approach can be very helpful.
So if you’ve ever thought about having a reading, but are still on the fence, think about what I’ve said here. At the very least, you’ll have a new experience to talk about at your next barbecue. At the most, you could come away with a fresh new way to solve your problems – and a doorway into a brand new life.
